Alumnae Achievements 

Angela Pagan (Founding Line,SP 96, #9) - Recently opened her own law firm, The Law Office of Angie Pagán, PLLC. It specializes in Criminal Defense, Family Law, Traffic Defense, Baker & Marchman Acts. Her firm provides legal representation throughout the State of Florida.


Rocio Morell (Line 1,SP 98, #3)- After 5 years (2 in her master's program, 2 years of a Lead Program through the county, and 1 year of waiting for the right job) Rocio became the new Assistant Principal of Broadview Elementary School. 


Roxanne Martinez (Line 3,FA 02,#2)-  She was named Breast Cancer Advocate of the Year (2015). She created the non-profit organization  Team Roxy to support people affected with cancer. She was featured on "Tackle my Ride" for all of her hardwork and support for those undergoing chemotherapy treatments.


Kimberly Lopez-Narbona (Line 4,SP 01,#2)-  She was recently nominated and selected to serve on the Board of Directors for the UF Association of Hispanic Alumni.


Joyce Pesantez(Line 4,SP 01,#3)- She is the new Assistant Principal at Ventura Elementary School in Kissimmee.


Ashley Cisneros Mejia (Line 5, SP 02, #6)- She was awarded the Don Quijote 2015 Award for Best Business Under 5 Years from the Orlando chapter of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. 


Tanya Roman (Line 5, SP 02, #8)- She graduated with a doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in 2009 and in 2015opened ALIVIA Chiropractic & Wellness Studio in Guynabo, Puerto Rico.


Lola Sophia (Line 8,SP 05,#2)- She was selected as one of the 2014 Ms. JD Fellows. Ms. JD is a national organization  that promotes the advancement of women in the law. There is a perfect little explanation on the Wisconsin Law:


Maryam Laguna (Line 9,SP 06,#8)- She was a panelist at the Voto Latino Power Summit in Miami.


Rosemarie Morales (Line 10, SP 07,#4)-  She is the current president of Alpha Rho Alumnae Chapter.


Jazzmine Hernandez (Line 11, SP 08, #8)- She went to Detroit Michigan with the American osteopathic foundation for a service project named Human Touch project along with over 30 other osteopathic medical students nationwide. There she spent two days working in a local area cleaning up a neighborhood and lending our services to those who could not maintain their homes themselves.


Jossie Barroso (Line 14, SP 11, #4)-She served as the Alpha Upsilon Alumnae Chapter President this past year. This upcoming year will be her third year on National Convention Committee.


Josephine Almanzar (Line 15, SP 12, #3) Her most recent achievement was getting accepted into the PSY.D. Clinical Psychology program at the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. 


Aida Lopez (Line 15, SP 12, #5)- Aida graduated with her masters in accounting and started her new career in Ernst & Young, one of the Top 5 accounting firms in the nation.

Janelle Guzman (Line 15, SP 12, #6) - She is a Habitat Steward and is currently earning a masters in Urban and Regional Planning at UF.


Melanie Perez (Line 15,SP 12, #7)- She became a patient care assistant in the pediatric unit at Shands and social chair for Alpha Upsilon. 


Monica Laemmerhirt (Line 15, SP 12, #8)- She graduated with a Masters degree in Medical Sciences from USF, and also had a publication accepted in Virus Research.
